OBC is the site founder and still has full administrator privileges at TAF, he is the only person on the site who cannot be banned. The staff colouration is entirely optional, any mod or admin can change their name back to black here with a few clicks of a mouse.

As for why it happened, basically he reached breaking point and lost his temper, took some actions that he really shouldn't have and alienated a lot of people who put their trust in him. He's also human and we all do make mistakes, and I can't really say any more about it than that.
