Inventions needed thread.
I want headphones that attach to a flat surface magnetically and don't get messed up if you walk away from the device having forgotten you had them on.
Yeah, it's been that kind of morning.

Wireless headphones have been around for years. ( I'm even thinking of buying some ).
Magnets can be attached, but I favour velcro.

I've had wireless headsets, the quality never matches the price.mistermack wrote:Wireless headphones have been around for years. ( I'm even thinking of buying some ).

I have a pair. They're handy but uncomfortably heavy and tight.

Re: Inventions needed thread.
I want wireless headphones that my car radio can pick up the signal from.
You can get wireless headphones that transmit on 86 mhz fm, but my car radio only goes from 87.5 mhz to 108.
It would be nice if they had given a choice of frequencies to transmit on. You could listen on the car radio when driving, and put the headphones on when you stop.
I do have a dongle that DOES transmit on usable frequencies, but it's rubbish. You can't scroll through the music folders, and the screen is microscopic.

Same goes for noise canceling headphones, the price is ridiculous.
I get around that by wearing small earbud headphones, and over those I wear a $7 pair of shooting range headphones. They fold up into a neat little bundle, and there's just enough room in the space that cups your ears to fit my earbuds.

I need a better set of earbuds, or something. Mine keep falling out. Can someone please invent a speakerless earphone speaker?

Get the earphones that hook over the ears, they don't fall out so much. A bit bigger than the buds, but if you want to keep them in place that's one good way to go.amused wrote:I need a better set of earbuds, or something. Mine keep falling out. Yeah, I'm looking at those. Trouble is, they are always packaged in hard plastic cut-open after you buy them packages. I need to try them with my skating helmet and Lawrence of Arabia shade cap all in place. It gets crowded about the ears with all the straps and such. I'll ask for an open package if they have one and look like a dork with all that gear on in the store.Gawdzilla wrote:Get the earphones that hook over the ears, they don't fall out so much. Re: Inventions needed thread.
Whoever invented those in-ear phones wants shooting. They are just useless.
I reckon it's the same person who invented the system for refilling gas lighters. The very same man who puts the perforations in cheap toilet rolls.
I'm generally against the death penalty, but that guy should be strung up.
