A friend of mine did EXACTLY what this woman did, about thirty years ago, and burnt his house down and killed the cat. He was lucky, he was just singed.
If you pour petrol indoors, you are asking for trouble, as the fumes need to reach a certain concentration, but once they do, even static can ignite it. In his case, they think it was some automatic process in the central heating thermostat switch that set it off.
He's not stupid, but he did something stupid. We can all do that. I feel really sorry for that woman.
I've been burned by petrol, and it really REALLY hurts.
Diesel is very hard to ignite, but petrol is the complete opposite, it's absolutely lethal.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
