Which Country is the Closest Ally of the United States?

Vote for the United States' BFF (by closest, I don't mean geographically)

The US has no true allies, only countries who are in fear of the US or bought by the US pretend to be allies.

Which Country is the Closest Ally of the United States?

Post by Coito ergo sum » Thu Mar 29, 2012 8:12 pm

If any?

So, does the US have any friends? And, if so, who is the US's BFF?

And, "closest" does not mean by distance from the US, wise asses...

Define 'ally'?

Because Israel is US' overlord and the UK is a flunky.

I provided some definition in the post - a friend, BFF. I mean ally in terms of confederate or friend -- comrade -- pal -- buddy. Trusted associate.

That kind of thing. Beyond that, you're on your own. Answer it according to your understanding of common English usage.

OK, if the problem is that you merkins can't tell who is nice to you out of friendship, and who would shit in your cheerios if they could, that's another question entirely...

I mean, the Japanese would probably be happy to sink all your navy and expel every US serviceman on their soil and demand reparations for the depredations your troops have committed on their soil in the last 60 years.

I think the question was clear, and it wasn't that. If you care to start a new thread, though, that is your prerogative.

I guess they shouldn't have started a war with us then. Reparations. Let's see how soon the Japanese pay reparations for Pearl Harbor, and then to the Chinese, Koreans, Phillipinos, Hong Kong, Malaya, Bacteriological Warfare in Nanking, Banka Island, Malaysia, Singapore, Burma - Thailand, and the rest for genocide, massacres, slavery, sexual exploitation, biological warfare, mass rape and other assorted niceties....

Pay them? They owe us for giving them baseball.

Oz, of corse...

We had one Prime Minister who said "All the way with LBJ" back in the Vietnam war days...

And more recently, Julia Gillard was clearly undressing Obama with her eyes every time they met...
