I think in the case of those women who do gravitate toward "bad boy" types, either they hope he's merely bad enough to be useful in a tight spot, whilst being decent on the inside, or else they entertain fanciful ideas of reforming whichever "bad boy" is around at the moment. In both cases, they're likely to be in for much disappointment.
The only occasion I can recall being alerted to the idea of a woman who actually liked out and out Fascists, with all the disturbing baggage accompanying them, was, if memory serves, an old Xaviera Hollander "Call Me Madam" column in a 1980s Penthouse, which made pretty disturbing reading. The woman in question was a serious, and possibly clinically significant, masochist. Apparently, she not only found men in full SS regalia a turn on, she also wanted them to live up to the image in other ways. Such as subjecting her to an actual physical beating prior to sex. I truly hope that this case was unique, because I felt rather ill reading about it. I also found it completely incomprehensible that a woman would actually welcome being subjected to what amounted to physical torture, but apparently, the woman in question not only told this to Xaviera for the column, but exhibited the bruises with what Xaviera described as "a truly frightening amount of glee".
