My post was in response to Crumple's original. I find nothing appealing about an official uniform of any kind (if anything I find it off-putting for many reasons) and definitely have no love of cruel, particularly stern or loud personalities. I'm sure many, possibly even most women find those things appealing, I'm just not one of them

Uniforms, I don't mind so much. The rest is a complete turn off.

If you mean do some women go for mean guys, well yes, but I would suggest that as many guys go for mean girls as the former.

I think "fascist" in this case is meaning the "strong, take charge, take no shit" guy. Some folks like 'em.

Going back to the poem the absolute lack of ambiguity is intended to stop people who are reading it from escaping the deliberate conflation of dark triad features and a politicaly right wing disposition? Women get off on guys who are not perfect. If it were not so, humanity would have gone extinct a million years ago. We survive due to female tolerance. If it were not for the fact that women are very, very tolerant, I would never have got married.

It might help the discussion along if you quoted Sylvia Plath's poem or provided a link to it. I only ever read The Bell Jar, and the only other thing I heard about her is that she committed suicide.

I've never understood the attraction with uniform. I'm not a big fan of police. Those bastards made my life difficult when I was young. If I see a woman in Garda uniform I don't want to talk to them let alone have relations with them. Nurses uniforms remind me of smelly, pukey hospitals. Army uniforms remind me of pointless war and all the baggage that goes with it. And while I respect the fire brigade their uniforms - well, you might as well wear a canvas bag.
I'm not a fan of suits either.
