May not agree with the evil Hitchens but he pretty much owns Brand, here. Brand just comes across as a bit of a berk...

If by "berk" you mean "self-aggrandizing dickwad who is so unfunny he reminds me of an afternoon with Maggie Thatcher discussing Ayn Rand who managed to end up shagging one of the sexiest women on the planet for a short period before he inevitably fucked it up" then I certainly agree.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I was paraphrasing....

To be fair, Russell Brand could lose a debate to a Teletubby.

Hitchens makes a good point. We don't consider those who climb mountains and fall, breaking their back and leaving them paralysed and unable to care for their kids, as "victims of the mountain."

However the rest of his argument is one of "Well because Governments have reactively prohibited rather than govern the recreational drug market, the criminal element took the enterprise over and thus international governmental neglect has caused problems globally and that's your fault Russell Brand."
"What started as a legitimate effort by the townspeople of Salem to identify, capture and kill those who did Satan's bidding quickly deteriorated into a witch hunt" Army Man
