I don't own property. Buying land in New York is foolish as you pay about as much in taxes as people in other states pay in rent. I just rent because property is such a money pit of an investment.

It is to be noted that the surface area of the earth is something that cannot be claimed to have been created through human labor. To that extent, a land tax is more justifiable than most or all other kinds of taxes.

If your state is not a member of the EU, the EU has no taxing authority over your state, and the EU has no taxing authority over the Vatican.
