Al Qaeda touted the camps. Ask them if they needed them.

well, I would if I knew any of them. I don't think they need them though, and like I said they can be virtually anywhere.

This invasion and occupation will achieve nothing and be a huge, colossal waste of tax payers money. The only objective ever was to line the pockets of the military industrial complex, that's it. I've never heard once the reason for invading Afghanistan or what the definition of victory was.
The original reason for invading Afghanistan was to break up Al Qaeda training camps there to prevent a repeat of the World Trade Center attacks.

Victory was never defined well, I'd agree. The Al Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan were essentially inoperative within the first year or two.
The reason your pointing out is nonsense. Who thinks you need "training camps" in Afghanistan to plan terrorist actions? That whole notion is ridiculous. Besides the obvious fact that "training camps" can be simply moved somewhere else.
Well, now you've heard the reason. I didn't say you would think it was a good reason.

They needed a full scale invasion with the help of numerous lap dog countries to shut down some training camps? You're right, it's not a very good reason. Slightly better than "spreading democracy" or "saving the women" (both of which I heard repeated ad nasium) though.

You can't go half way with this kind of thing. Once you are killing civilians you need to kill a lot to instill fear in the population. A few will just get them angry enough to organise & retaliate. I suggest gas. If you gas the ten percent of villages where there is thought to be active resistance this should have a calming effect on the situation. Yes, against the geneva convention - so you'll have to send teams in to hide the bodies or shoot them up a bit. Doing nothing is worse than doing something now you are on the muder mile out there. It is no good pretending it was a lone soldier gone berserk - would you believe that in the reverse? It is cruel to be kind since any organised resistance that stems from this will likely be a higher body count than what would happen if you follow my advice. :smoke:

10%? are you some sort of fucking pinko liberal? :irate:

Personally I would favour mass crucifixtions. Nato attacked? the entire villages and towns get crucified out to a 50 miles radius the animals as well. and the land seeded with weedkiller, something that lasts 1,000 years.

Don't hear a squeek from Carthage nowadays

FWIW, only 2 easy (non-genocidal!)steps needed to sort out Afghanistan:

a) Divide the country into seperate countries - or under a very loose Federation, with a deliberately week central govt - except for a large army (see above policies). The basic rules are you can do WTF you want to your own people / in your own region - but start messing with the others and you start to get wiped off the map.....until the problem goes away.

b) Atheism - stop pussing footing around Islam, just explain that the reason "we" have F15's and colour TV's and don't live in mud huts etc is because we long ago realised that religion is a nonsense. "There is no god (including) Allah" - get over it.

This whole flash-in-the-pan fad about not targeting civilians during warfare was obviously thought up by some johnny-come-lately amateur civilian who'd never waged war in his/her life. Leave warfare to the pros, I say. What better target can there be than someone who's unarmed, untrained and lugging around food, water, children and the like?

Wars are between whole tribes - therefore everyone on each side (including ours!) is a legitamate target. Armies are not like sports teams with the supporters merely onlookers who if there side lose can go home at no personal cost.

Wars are won when the other side accepts defeat. or are all dead......not by PR announcements on the TV.

Thank you. What's the point in having civilians, anyway? If armies simply kill each other, eventually there would be no more armies left. Wtf. Game over. A war without cannon fodder is no war at all.
