I think Cameron might be being more clever than people think. Why would he want to hang on to Scotland? It doesn't do much for the UK, and it's not going anywhere. Consider for a second ... Salmond appears for 2 years to secretly want the devo max option, eventually giving in at the last moment and only asking one question. His question. And reminding the Scottish people who it was who prevented him from adding it to the paper despite it being THE most popular option ... so ... do you think people will vote YES or NO after that?

All this talk about keeping Scotland in might be Cameron's own smokescreen.
