President Santorum the ultraliberal mormon would likely last 6 months or less before causing a Revolution and being sent to wed the Widow at Reluctant Abbey.

Southern Exposure: Iran, Terror Groups Setting Up Shop in South America

March 7, 2012 RSS Feed Print
Iran and Middle East-based extremist groups are stepping up their activities in South America, aiming to make friends and score cash, a senior U.S. military official says.

Tehran intends to build military drones in Washington's backyard for the Venezuelan military led by Hugo Chavez, U.S. Southern Command chief Gen. Douglas Fraser told reporters Wednesday during a breakfast meeting in Washington.

VIENNA (AP) – Satellite images of an Iranian military facility show trucks and earth-moving vehicles at the site, indicating that crews were trying to clean it of radioactive traces possibly left by tests of a nuclear-weapon trigger, diplomats told the Associated Press on Wednesday.

Chavez and Ahmedinejad do have an oddly close relationship. I expect things might change a bit after Chavez croaks, which could very well be any day now*.

*"Any day now" is not an exact science. Kim Jong-Il had a stroke in 2008, lost a lot of weight and quite a few people thought he might die at any time. He lasted another 3+ years.

It's because the US is the greatest threat to world peace in the world today, according to half of our European friends and Noam Chomsky.

There's no easy way to pull this tooth. If it is left things could get worse. I suggest a quick raid to take out the reactor and associated facilities but do enough damage to the infrastructure of the country so that the aftermath is internal for a good while. Obama wants the democrates to win and he knows a war president is always popular.

....except war Presidents are not popular with today's Democrats is it?

Well, I guess as long as it's from the air. Democrats love bombing campaigns.

Iran only a year away from nuke! http://washington.cbslocal.com/2013/03/ ... ar-weapon/

During the election, though, according to the Administration -- "The Israelis and the United States, our military and intelligence communities are absolutely in the same exact place in terms of how close the Iranians are to getting a nuclear weapon," he said. "They are a good ways away." Biden laughed about it in his debate -- oh, come on ...Iran close to a nuke....pshawww....you so silly!

What's your point? That the Iran is not a year away from a nuke, or that Biden was right to laugh off the issue during the election?

My point is that Israel is already an existential threat to the surrounding nations. Palestine - QED.

Do we believe the US intelligence agencies?
Uh...no. Next.
Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

So what?

(by the way Palestine is not a "surrounding nation" -- Israel is in Palestine -- it's an area.)

I can't argue with you about this. You're too consistent.
