What makes him really dumb is the way he uses his super powers.
He can do all that amazing stuff, and seems to have good intentions, yet he has to wait for a disaster before he does anything. It's like he can't think for himself.

If I had his powers, I could find good stuff to do and people to help in between disasters.
What if the governments of the world did fuck-all till a disaster happened?

I think he's just an attention junkie. He only helps if it will make the headlines.
How come he doesn't help out with the space-station, for example. They wouldn't miss the shuttle, if he offered to drop off the payloads.

Selfish.
