On Channel 4 -4oD
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/tony ... nsters/4od
"Tony Robinson explores the weird and wonderful history of belief, superstition and religious experience in Britain.
For 2000 years, Britain has been a Christian country. Or has it? In fact, our ancestors actually kept many other dark, fantastical beliefs alive.
It was a world underpinned by outlandish, dangerous and plain weird beliefs. Ideas that today seem unbelievable, but were seen as uncontroversial and hugely influential, with some having shaped our history as much as mainstream religion."
So far I have only watched the first episode,
The Undead:- Featuring dramatic reconstructions, the opening programme examines our fascination with and terror of dead bodies.
Very interesting stuff so far.

I run with scissors. It makes me feel dangerous

Oooh interesting. Going to torrent it because 4od is a pain in the arse when it fails to play and makes you watch the adverts again and again.

[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

Oooh actually yes - but it's on the 4od channel so embedding disabled, you have to watch a load of ads, and it might not be available in other countries(?).

Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.

I've never got torrents to work - obviously doing it wrong.

I thought you were talking about that movie with Brendan Fraser. Which I thought was actually quite good.
The green careening planet
spins blindly in the dark
so close to annihilation.
Listen. No one listens. Meow.

I liked that film too... mainly because I love Ian McK.

Well, he's always good. An immensely talented man. But Brendan Fraser was a surprise. I've had more respect for him ever since.

Yeah, I agree. In addition, I'm an "Old Hollywood" buff, so I enjoyed the story immensely from that perspective.
