Malcolm Tucker is God!

It's like Lee Ermey became a Scottish spin doctor ...

God has no place within these walls, just like facts have no place within organized religion. - Superintendent Chalmers

It's not up to us to choose which laws we want to obey. If it were, I'd kill everyone who looked at me cock-eyed! - Rex Banner

The face-off with James Gandolfini at the beginning of this clip is something else:

I find the lack of recognition disturbing.

I saw the movie a while back but only watching the tv series now on Netflix. This guy beats House or any of them for best tv character.

Favourite line so far, "He's as much use as a marzipan dildo."

I'm surprised he's not more popular. He's just pure awesome, in the full sense of the word.

I don't know if this is any of the compilation clips, but it's one of my favourite scenes: The "Tim in Ruislip" rant from the last series - short but sweet:

God has no place within these walls, just like facts have no place within organized religion. - Superintendent Chalmers

Hot damn. I didn't even know there was a TV show. I loved the movie.

Apparently Netflix in the U.S. doesn't have the show, so I'm going to have to hunt it down on some freakin' pirate site. :x

Awesome finale to The Thick of It/

And guess what I just read in Wiki...
A fourth series was commissioned in March 2010. Iannucci has expressed an interest in targeting the coalition government, in particular the role of the Liberal Democrats in the next series. In an interview with The Guardian, he stated his idea was for Peter Mannion to have become a minister "but there will be someone from the other party in the coalition in his office, so a lot of the comedy will come from that tension between duplicated ministers." Work began on the scripts in March 2011. Shooting for the fourth series will commence in March 2012. (Series 4 will contain 8 parts

I also read this, though...
Veep is a forthcoming 2012 HBO television comedy series and spin-off to The Thick of It set in the office of a fictional U.S. vice-president. The pilot was written by Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell.

It will be based on the style of Iannucci's BBC television sitcom The Thick of It which is set in a fictional department of the British government. The Thick of It was first broadcast in 2005, gaining a number of awards and in 2009 inspiring a spin-off film, In the Loop. A pilot for an American version of The Thick of It was produced as a candidate for the 2007-2008 season on ABC and would have been about the day-to-day lives of a low-level member of the United States Congress and his staff. ABC did not pick up the show for its fall 2007 schedule.
