I disagree.
There's a huge difference between education and health.
Medical people may disagree about methods, but they all have the same aim, a patient who is as healthy as possible.

Educationalists vary enormously with their aims, and you need to stop the crackpots from harming "patients" with their pet fads.

I think politicians are the BEST people to tell educationalists what they want, because WE voted them in, and they spend our money.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

That's what local school boards are for. Let the legislature set broad goals and standards. Leave the micromanaging to local school boards and educators.

But with oversight from the State. Marion, Kokomo, Anderson, Muncie, I don't trust the folks there to not sneak a creationist agenda into the science classroom.

Well, generally once someone has graduated high school, they are an adult, so they ought be figuring these things out on they're own. Other adults can buy their own birth control and abortions.
