Poor winners have to book it to the stage from the back of the auditorium. Woman Art Director had her skirt hiked up by her crotch. But She takes the award For Italy! Viva Italia!

So, I saw a clip of Sandra Bullock presenting, in a red gown. But she was on the red carpet in black and white. Did she just want two looks, or was she leery of a red dress clashing with the carpet?

Lizzy Crystal for Anonymous,

Oooooh, but Sandy Powell is my hero.

And Jane Eyre was brilliant.

Huh. Mark Bridges, for the Artist.
Don't know, haven't seen it.

The Iron Lady wins over Albert Nobbs.

I'm surprised.

But boy, I think he did a great job making Meryl look like Margaret.

I should see Moneyball. I don't enjoy baseball much, generally, but I almost always love baseball movies.

Oh, okay-- Sandra Bullock is in fact still in black and white.

I'm sure you were all desperately curious about that.

Apparently, speaking German and calling it Chinese is funny. Not just weird.

All right-- Billy Crystal is pushing the envelope a bit with roasting-- nice.

I think Christian Bale can take it.

He kind of looks like a super-stretched-out Hollywoodified Pappa.

Octavia Spenser-- based on clips, a rightful win for Best Supporting Actress. Having a hard time managing both steps and dress.

Aw. I kinda wish the actors didn't have to rush so much. She had a hard time with that.

On the other hand, no way I'd make it to the end if they all went on as long as they wanted. (Yeah, yeah. Shut it, you.)
