People wouldn't make that mistake if you'd just placed it a little closer to Europe.
"A philosopher is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat that isn't there. A theologian is the man who finds it." ~ H. L. Mencken

"We ain't a sharp species. We kill each other over arguments about what happens when you die, then fail to see the fucking irony in that."

"It is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favor of vegetarianism while the wolf remains of a different opinion."

Falkland Islands is a British colony, if the Argentians took over it then it would become an Argentian one.

Is the word colony meant to be a bad thing?

Here's your new career, Lozzer. In the navy. You will finally meet a handsome prince! He may have to have a wife, too, so you have to share.

Because the Falklands have been a British territory long before the national inception of the Argentine state. The islands are sovereign, and they're entitled to self-determination. They are British, and they want to stay that way. It was 'colonised' by the British, yes, but it's been almost two centuries. There are no 'indigenous' Falk-landers, and no Argentinian has any claim to the land let alone the Argentine government.

Hong Kong was a barren rock when it was ceded to the UK. By your logic it should have stayed with us When it was 'handed back' it looked like this.

For a shirt lifter you are very right wing Lozzer.
“I wish no harm to any human being, but I, as one man, am going to exercise my freedom of speech. No human being on the face of the earth, no government is going to take from me my right to speak, my right to protest against wrong, my right to do everything that is for the benefit of mankind. I am not here, then, as the accused; I am here as the accuser of capitalism dripping with blood from head to foot.”

John Maclean (Scottish socialist) speech from the Dock 1918.

The Brits need the Falklands for strategic sheep research.

Why don't we just have Penn buy the islands? With a loan from Madonna. They can populate it with their offspring, exes and spouses.

Kabbala becomes state religion.

McCartney will donate sheep and horses and raise weed.

I'm not right wing. It just so happens that the 3,000 habitants of the islands are British, and a foreign nation wants volition over them when they have no right, whatsoever.

Because the Falklands are British, and have been for hundreds of years. It is populated by Brits who want to remain Brits. It has never been part of Argentina, ever.

Exactly. I think the Spanish and the French had claims to it, and they gave those up a couple of centuries ago. Argentina didn't exist then.
