First time I ever went over 125 mph on the ground this was on the 8-track.

Anybody who owned or played a vinyl record, and/or a reel to reel tape player would know what an a 8 track was. They weren't around very long though and were taken over by cassette players. My boyfriend Ed West had one in his red Camaro.kiki5711 wrote:ha ha ha 8-track, does anyone else even know what that is?First time I ever went over 125 mph on the ground this was on the 8-track

They were the first easily pirated medium. Most of the ones I had were bought in Asia and the "cover" was frequently a b&w xerox of the original.

One time I took acid and my home was about 15 away and I thought I'd get home before it hit me listening to my favorite 8-track music. Well, it hit me while I was driving. Lights flashing...zooom past my left side...zoooom past my right side, ohhh but what pretty flashing lights they were. I was really glad to get home quickly.

these are things we think we know
these are feelings we might even share
these are thoughts we hide from ourselves
these are secrets we cannot lay bare.

Isn't the Ventures Telsstar a cover? This one has Telstar too...go to 3min. Heinz was one of Meek's boy toys. The producer.

Re: The 60s, for those who remember
This was about a year before I discovered foreign music that was sung. We had hundreds of amateur groups and a dozen played on records. This one I remember well, from TV, radio. This one is folk tune sped up and played as a twist. The drummer was the guy turned into Finnish Cliff Richard.
This was all but forgotten by 1963 when the Fab 4 hit, and they then tried to sing too.
