Some of this is probably true. It remains the case however that lots of people want to come here because it is a good place to live. You wouldn't think so from the media we tend to see and the self deprecation and mockery we inflict on ourselves, but where I live for example, people are friendly, the roads are clean, it is safe to go out at night, I'm not in fear of crime, my health needs are met and life is pretty tolerable..etc.
It beats a hell of a lot of countries I have visited!
Now if we could just get a tow to somewhere just south of Gibraltar please..
