I'll watch it. I already know that I will be disappointed by the dumbed-down lack of any real science. But, like a dog returning again and again to an empty bowl, I will watch it. :tea:

Good point. I don't have a clue about the real physics but I know all that there is for us dullards to know about this stuff and I'm up to date. Not sure why I too will be checking that empty bowl...

I think the target market is the same sort of folks who want to appear clever at their call centre water cooler, without making the actual effort of learning much.

Imagine how much all the money spent on CERN could have been used to transform the climate change debate? :coffee:

Not to worry. The private sector will step in and make everything okay if Big Government keeps their hands off.

It was surprisingly informative. For one thing, I learnt that the super-symmetrical partner particle of the W boson is pronounced "weeno" and not the way that the word "Wino" is usually pronounced. Somehow that diminished it for me. :(

It wasn't bad by recent Horizon standards - my biggest gripe was when they referred to experiments that could prove that super-symmetry is "not just a theory" - I really wish they had used the word "hypothesis" in that sentence. :nono:

I thought it was pretty good. It jumped about a bit, but other than that I couldn't find anything to gripe about. It certainly wasn't dumbed down to the point of being misleading.

The Horizon program said NOTHING.
It fed your fantasies of a "let's not mention it" wonder.
