It was a silly movie, like the other silly Indiana Jones movies. But this one was quite possibly the most absurd of the string. And the "torch passing" to Sonny was so obvious as to be a bit creepy.

I watch movies to have a couple hours of entertainment, some popcorn with real butter, diet Pepsi and some black licorice.
There are few movies that don't supply that.

Some are memorable--like Cowboys and Aliens! I even got the poster! ----and some are meh.
Some do suck really bad but I don't go to those ones. I get forced to watch them at work.

I mentioned before that IJATKOTCS was the only film I ever saw that made me angry. Many have annoyed or irked me but this is the only one that made my blood boil to the extent I stormed out of the theatre. My friend could see I was visibly shaking in the lobby. If Lucas or Speilberg or anyone else involved had've walked in at that moment I'd've went for them.

I'm over it now thanks to South Park and the vid in the OP. I feel that maybe I can go back and watch the old ones now and start rebuilding my love for this franchise.
