Quick start guide:-

1 - Download and install Bitcomet:-
http://www.bitcomet.com/

2 - Go here - http://www.atcomet.com/url_view/btjunkie.org/ (or any other torrent site - there are many) and search for what you want and download the torrent.

3 - Once the torrent is downloaded, double-click on it. Bitcomet will open and your 'item' will start to download it (may take a little while).

4 - Once it has finished downloading (this takes varying degrees of time) open directory and double-click on your 'item' to open/play it. (It's a good idea to scan it for viruses first.)

Simples. :pardon:

Avoid Blockbuster Online unless you have a godlike Internet connection that doesn't mind if you're running a browser anywhere within a mile of it.

I've already exhausted Blockbuster's mail-order selection, as dozens of titles in my queue suddenly because 'unavailable' or 'very long wait' (same diff, in nearly 3 years I'd yet to have one 'very long wait' that ever showed up), so I'll never use them again.

We just signed up a few months ago. I juggle Netflix and Blockbuster to get two current movies in quicker. We did Source Code and ..... this weekend. (Plumb forgot the other one, but it was better than Source Code. :fp: )

ETA: Ah, "Fast Five". Utterly predictable.

Gawdzilla wrote:Bella, for torrents you install the software, then enter the name of a film and search for it. Select from the list of available places you can download and click. The software will tell you where to find it after it d/ls.

Correction solicited, of course.
Torrents have a drawback that is quite similar to sites where you pay for your downloads: the popular - that is recently released stuff - is easily obtainable, but if you are after some a vintage gem you are likely to discover that there are neither seeders nor peers available to download from. The latest Hairy Porter films is easy to get. F for Fake? Not so much.

My quest to obtain Jonathan Miller's excellent documentary series, The Body in Question, has been beset by this problem for years now. To my knowledge it has never been commercially digitised in the first place, but the 13-episode series is floating about in the form of 13 files totalling about 4.36GB. Even if there are seeders and/or peers, downloading may not commence for some reason. I just had another look now, found 2 seeders and 0 peers for it on one site, dragged it into µTorrent but nothing is happening except for my role as seeder improving all that time. My ul/dl ratios of seeds range from 5.8 to 11.0 right now. Meh.
