People often stare at me and sometimes ask me why,
when I tell them that I'm not particularly enamoured by Stephen Fry.
I know he's considered somewhat a national treasure
and he give a lot of people an awful lot of pleasure,
so just before I give a list of all of my pet peeves,
let me say that I thought he was perfectly cast as Jeeves.
I do not doubt his authenticity, nor question his his ability
and I'm not even remotely suspicious about his credibility
but every time I see him I give another sigh
Another fucking programme “oh look it's Stephen Fry!”
Come on, even you must admit it's getting somewhat ridiculous
that on our television he's become practically ubiquitous
and don't even get me started on the shambles of Q.I.
The fundamental reason for my dislike of Stephen Fry.
Because every week they find a way to ridicule the Germans or the Frenchies
like the English social consciousness is still dying in the trenches,
“the stupid frogs” “the uptight huns” brought up with every letter,
and the thing that bothers me most is I think he should know better.
Perhaps I'm missing something or do not get the joke,
that cultural stupidity only applies to foreign folk,
I think this a waste of his talent to be fair,
and while I'd like to see a little less of him on air,
its not that I think he should through in the towel
its not like we're discussing the repugnant Simon Cowell.
