Problem is you start engaging him, and he starts denying having said what he did, rephrasing it differently and ignoring the fact that the conclusion and results are the same unless you do experiments in Lalaland.

They didn't try to shift the blame, the Pope merely pointed out that society in general is far more sick and twisted than the Catholic church, which is a perfectly valid and factually correct observation, and he called for the healing of society as well as the church. In no way was he trying to shift any blame or avoid any legitimate criticism of the church for its failings. But he would have been remiss in the extreme to take responsibility for what the church did or did not do without also commenting on the perversion and evil in society, which is in far greater need of repentance and contrition than the few priests who committed criminal acts in the Catholic church.

One need only surf the very surface of the Internet porn industry to see the truth and need expressed by that Papal statement, much less dig just below the surface to see the real horror, including the hundreds of people arrested in Europe just the other day for victimizing children to produce kiddie porn.

What absolute and complete crap.

Yet another example of your defense of an organisation that is a support network for pedophiles.

I'm sorry, but go fuck yourself.

I challenge you to go back to any of my posts and show me a single passage where I have expressed support or sympathy in the smallest for any person who molests children. I've been crystal clear in stating on many occasions exactly the opposite.

It is you and your ilk that insist on mischaracterizing and lying about my posts and claiming that I'm supporting pedophiles. I take grievous offense to such deliberate, deliberately provocative lies. If that's not the definition of "not playing nice" it should be. But since it's not, let me just say that you have repeatedly admitted to buggering little boys in your bathroom, and I think you should be arrested for it. Now let's see how you like it when lies are told about you.

You know perfectly well, and I have specified many times, that I'm only defending those who are NOT guilty of crimes against children in the Catholic faith, so take your smarm and sarcasm and shove them sideways up your ass.

So, you're actually seriously trying to maintain that secular society worldwide does not contain more perverts and child-molesting pornographers and human slavers than the Catholic church? Really?

How about you get your head out of your ass and go read a newspaper.

You really know how to win friends and influence people, don't you. You truly need to carry a gun because you alienate every fucking person you come in contact with, and thus you fear revenge. I have no use for you, you are the stereotypical ugly American that everybody likes to make fun of. You are capable of eloquent statements, but prefer to troll because it makes you feel superior. Sorry, but you are a douchebag. And I'm being non-judgemental here. Have a bitter life. You deserve it.

Indeed. And I know how to choose them, and when not to.
You truly need to carry a gun because you alienate every fucking person you come in contact with, and thus you fear revenge.
Which of course is a lie because you don't know me, or anything about me. You only know what I allow you to know for my own purposes.

Why? Because I refuse to toe the party line and kowtow to Atheist religious dogma? Sorry I make you uncomfortable. No, wait, I'm not sorry at all actually, because it's my job to make you uncomfortable because you are complacent in your sheep-like nose-to-ass-sucking up to Atheist orthodoxy.
You are capable of eloquent statements, but prefer to troll because it makes you feel superior.
Doesn't make me feel superior, I am superior. It does give me endless amusement however.
Sorry, but you are a douchebag. And

I have never said you are a child molester. (in fact, in an earlier thread, I castigated someone who made that sugestion in a throw-away line)

I have never said you actively support or encourage child molesting.

I have said, and will continue to say, that your posts on these topics comprise a consistent defence of a group of pedophiles and their enablers in the hierarchy of the church.

To which you respond with a tirade of personal attacks...

Didn't you get the memo? People are leaving the fold in troves. You'll hardly see an Irish person in seminary any more. We have to import our priests from Africa and the Philippines these days. There are dwindling amounts of priests having to look after as much as three parishes.
They done it all to themselves and I have zero sympathy for them.

Sorry for being hasty and thus unclear in what I meant. To clarify:

People in the Netherlands should will likely be leaving the fold in troves real soon now, like people already are leaving in e.g. Ireland.
