We need more of these missions.
We ought to be working on a manned mission. Oh, the shame of wasted opportunities and wasted time...

Yep. The only thing that can kill you on Mars is ... Mars. Just one thing to watch out for.Clinton Huxley wrote:At least Mars has fewer nasty bitey things....Gawdzilla wrote:Mars, now called OZ2?

I think we should be more aggressive in our attempts to find alien life, especially intelligent alien life. We should be beaming out signals in all available methods and frequencies shouting "Surrender to Humanity or be Destroyed." That should garner some attention.

Thing is I have a sneaking suspicion, it might be all ours. No idea why.

It's entirely possible that there is only one technological civilization in the Universe at any one time. Nothing says there has to be more that we know of right now. That would be a shame, however. I'd love to talk to a B.E.M.Audley Strange wrote:Thing is I have a sneaking suspicion, it might be all ours. No idea why.

Aye it would be nice to have a decent in-depth conversation with such. However I think it quite exciting to think that the entire playground might ours. If we can get through this manic depressive adolescent stage we're currently enduring we do still have a change of being able to grow up and populate the whole place. Imagining what varied species might be in the offing due to long term environmental adaptation with us as the common ancestor for them all sounds quite groovy to me.Gawdzilla wrote:It's entirely possible that there is only one technological civilization in the Universe at any one time. I doubt we'd have a neighbor near enough to crowd us. I see it as us trying to find each other rather than trying to beat each other out for "space".Audley Strange wrote:Aye it would be nice to have a decent in-depth conversation with such.
