Tron 2.0
Watched it on the portable DVD player today while on the elliptical. Meh, it was okay. They kept introducing new storylines almost all the way through, which drains the drama for me. If they can keep changing the goal then why do I care about anything along the way?

Re: Tron 2.0
You have your own elliptical? Or you took a portable dvd to the gym?
I'm envious. I actually like using an elliptical, but even if I could afford one, no room.
Oh, I never seen either Tron film. I'll shut up now.

No, the apartment complex has a fancy new elliptical in their workout room. I'm only using it today because the weather chased me off my skates. So, if figured if I was going to be inside....

Yeah, that's the thing. So far it's been okay to run outside, but if there's ice or snow, not so much. And I can't really afford anything else.amused wrote:No, the apartment complex has a fancy new elliptical in their workout room. I'm only using it today because the weather chased me off my skates. Here's hoping for a mild winter!

My knees won't tolerate running, hence skates and/or the elliptical. Low impact, unless you count impacting the pavement in a fall.

Yeah, skates would not be low-impact for me, unfortunately. Plus, I live in the one part of Manhattan with tons of hills.amused wrote:My knees won't tolerate running, hence skates and/or the elliptical. Low impact, unless you count impacting the pavement in a fall.
Maybe if one of those weird Tronocycles were good for spinning... yeah, I can't get back on topic. Sorry.

Hills are good for a workout going uphill. Very bad for impacts going downhill.hadespussercats wrote:Yeah, skates would not be low-impact for me, unfortunately. Actually, I really do like hills-- esp up, oddly enough. I feel like I get extra endorphins or something.

Re: Tron 2.0
That's the one downside to skates - almost no brakes! I have a heel brake, but it's no good at anything close to high speed, like going down a hill. The racing skaters don't even have that, they drop a foot back and drag it sideways to brake.hadespussercats wrote:Yeah, but downhill I run like the wind!!!!!amused wrote:Hills are good for a workout going uphill.
