They still keep playing his hit at sports events, giving him an income.

After burning Beatles records, the US South has failed to act on Glitter.

Only found this:

For once when the xtians are needed, they are useless.

Looks like you have to be a FBer to sign. :(

Why isn't this person in jail, anyway? I think the US has a law that if you travel abroad to have sex with underage people, you'll still face charges when you come back. The UK doesn't have that law?

I think the UK is the European system. Murder is less than 20 years and all else is a couple of years.

From EisforEmma as a comment on the Huffington post site:

"I remember when I was a kid, I was very ill in hospital and Gary Glitter came to visit me. I was touched. "

She should be on Ratz...

:hehe:

(but :lay: for Glitter...)

That's not really funny, but...it's funny.

Gary Glitter is not awesome.

Gary Glitter's music is awesome.

Gary Glitter has served the time and punishment for his crimes.

If Gary Glitter is caught committing more crimes he will be punished again.

So Gary Glitter has paid his debt to society, and if society still wants his music Gary Glitter gets recompense.

The End.

(Unless we ban all music by Benjamin Britten, The Who, Michael Jackson...)

Britten was a pedophile? I thought he was the symbol of gay monogamy.

Fuck the gays then.

Talkinh of pop-star paedophiles, Jonathan King has been bleating about being ignored (and promoting his book).

The Independent wrote:Since his conviction for child sex offences in 2001, and his release after three-and-a-half years served, King has been ignored by the media. There was a flurry of interest when he emerged, grinning and giving a double thumbs-up, from Maidstone Prison in March 2005. And then, nothing.

I didn't have a clue who he was before he was jailed - why should I care now?

This is of course right (except the awesome music part!), but the well known issue for known pedos is their compulsive re-offending. Its not judicially very convenient but it is a fact.
