We'll see. There is flex in the situation. They still have some room to maneuver. We'll see what they choose to do. I would have said nobody could get the Pakistanis to toe the line; someone somewhere got ahold of some short curly hairs attached to an extremely sensitive spot and gave them one fuck of a yank, I'm guessing. So I'm content to watch a while.

They do, yes, but until they withdraw from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, they can't have nuclear arms.

And, what are you saying, that Iran has a right to develop nuclear arms now? Even Iran is not claiming that right, and they deny that they are doing it. Are you saying they are lying?
Buggalo Buggalo Trolololololo!

Where is the fucking evidence that Iran is developing nuclear weapons? Hmm?

I don't want more fucking accusations and suspicions. Evidence.
The point of my exchange with Gawd was that he keeps obliquely alleging that Iran is defending itself with nukes. If it is, then of course it must have them or be developing them.

I don't know if Iran has nukes, and I don't care. Even if Iran wasn't developing nuke, Iran is run by a horrible, nightmarish, apocalyptic theocracy. But, here is a BBC summary of recent IAEA evidence: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11709428

I'm not in favor of attacking them at the moment, though. But, I fail to see how anyone who supported the Libya campaign earlier this year doesn't also support military action in Iraq. The numbers of civilians murdered by the regime in Iran dwarfs what was alleged "might" happen in Libya, and there is an active resistance in Libya. Go to the Libyan threads and see the same folks who are all outraged about any talk of action against Iran support the action in Libya wholeheartedly. I find it quite interesting. I think it comes from the fact that the animosity against Iran is perceived to come from the Bush era, whereas the Libyan intervention was sold as something non-Bush related.
