Blocking Holes Makes More Light Come Through Them

Yes, you read that right. Material scientists investigating the properties of a sheet of very thin metal with holes in it have discovered that they can make the foil transmit more light by blocking the holes.

This brings all sorts of truly amusing possibilities to mind, which I'm sure the members of this forum will enjoy exploring. :timewarp:
