I imagine that for many who disagree with Obama's politics and his continuous urgings to 'pass this bill' for another stimulus package, stumping for support by pushing a hiring veterans initiative isn't enough to overcome that disagreement. I guess it's easier to throw down the race card immediately than to try and figure out why millions of people are really dissatisfied with the President, though.

Actually, it probably applies to only a very small contingent of people who don't like Obama or his wife for racial reasons. Most people don't like Obama or his wife because of their Progressive/Marxist political actions.

His wife doesn't get a pass on being excoriated like Elanor Roosevelt or Jackie Kennedy because Michelle Obama is a left-wing, Progressive political activist who has a bully pulpit as the President's wife, and who has been stepping outside of her UNELECTED position as the wife of the President and has been ABUSING her position and status by interfering in politics and the lives of ordinary Americans in significant and expensive ways, including her actions regarding "federalization" of food in public schools, and entirely unconstitutional attempt to expand Progressive policies beyond that which the Constitution permits. She needs to shut the fuck up, host White House dinners, and smile when required.

So she's getting "booed" all on her own, for the things she's done. She doesn't get a pass just because she's stumping for another Obama attempt to pander for votes.

Do vets deserve jobs? Sure. Do they deserve our respect and admiration for a job well done? Sure. Do they deserve special preference or additional taxpayer money? Hell no. They served the nation, they got paid for their work, they get specified benefits. We don't need to be pouring more government money into Progressive vote-pandering social welfare programs. This is a bald-faced attempt to buy votes from vets, and it's despicable, given his historic disdain and revulsion towards our military.

As for your characterization of NASCAR fans, and the assumptions you make about their intelligence, they sound to me a lot more prejudiced and bigoted than the booing of Michelle Obama.

Michelle Obama went out of her way to find one little issue that wasn't remotely controversial and by rights should not have caused any problems for everything else her husband has had to do: fighting childhood obesity. And what do you right wing types do? Demonize her anyway. When did Todd show up to stump for some initiative he was pushing? Michelle Obama decided to push an issue, to go out and rally and stump for something that she thinks the government should be doing. Without getting into whether or not an unelected figurehead such as the First Lady should be engaged in campaigning for any kind of political change, the fact remains that she's out there pushing her own platform, and she has to deal with whatever that results in, whether it be cheers or boos.
