Is this racist? (obviously I can't tell)

Grayson, a fifth-grader at the campus near Santa Clarita, Ca., noticed the gentleman’s outward characteristics: Tall and lean. Good looking. Charismatic. Charming. Energetic.

Then he made a fatal error: Grayson, 11, pulled a little “made you look” joke on a schoolmate seated next to him, saying something along the lines of “Obama’s visiting our school today,” referring to the magnetic figure holding court nearby.
Kid got expelled over it too.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

I don't think it is.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Seems like the kid was a little shit and they were just looking for an excuse to get rid of him
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

I think ya gotta tie the African fellow to the cross first, then set it on fire. :awesomecat:

That is a very odd thing to get expelled for, if it's true. I don't see any racism from what's been said.
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

What the article doesn't say is that the kid is now listed on the terrorist watch list and has been sent to Guantamano.

No news will touch it. There is nothing, including in the local news for Santa Clarita.

This poor kid obviously hasn't yet figured out that we're meant to celebrate diversity whilst simultaneously maintaining that we are all exactly the same. Noting that two black people look alike is admitting that there are such a thing as black people :nono:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Winger told KHTS that Grayson’s misbehavior in the past came into play when the incident occurred November 4.

“It’s not what he said, it’s how he said it,” Winger related, adding that student confidentiality precluded him from sharing many of the details.

“I can tell you that there was history and that the student had been counseled and we met with the parents,” he concluded.
About what I figured.

The story here is the right wingnuts making political hay out of racism again. Judging from the picture the parents are just as bigoted as the kid, which explains the kid's behavior.

Thanks, Bella.
