Twice DP's been prepared to martyr himself as a pro-town act. Genuine ... or bluff?

It isn't something you can say no to even as scum unless you want to special claim. He could have been banking on the vote sliding elsewhere. It doesn't clear him but I think we have better targets for today.

I meant fake claim ... Reading DP's posts after amok questioned him, he seemed confused .. like he'd done a hasty read up of the character, and then been caught out getting it wrong. I can see why he's on amok's scum list.

yeh i know how you meant it. I agree he looks like he got caught out, i mean it doesn't look like it would be a safeclaim supplied by the GM, what with the wiki describing how this character helped snake and is enemies with Volgin

can someone who actually knows the flavor tell me about this - wondering if Granin only became scum (ie anti russia in this game) in MSG3 and maybe DP was only familiar with earlier versions.

For what it's worth I'm Dr. Aleksandr Leonovitch Granin, I'm GRU(I am the actual G in GRU) and I'm town.

You may be Dr. Granin, but the G in GRU isn't for Granin. It's for "Glavnoye" in Glavnoye Razvedyvatel'noye Upravleniye (Main Intelligence Directorate). Dr. Granin is the director of the Granin Design Bureau.

I posted the relevant bit of WIKI it actually says who is are the protagonists and antagonists just as Gonzo stated in the intro .

yes i remember that, snake is scummy and volgin would be towny, hence my concern over DP claiming to be a character that reads like a friend of snake and enemy of volgin

what i need to know is if this was an MSG3 thing, or whether Gratin was always aligned thusly
