As long as they stay away from the negotiating table there's nothing to be done.
That's like saying it's okay to persecute Jews in the U.S. because Israel refuses to follow the U.S. "road map".

The truth is, it's unfair to blame Israeli Arabs for what Fatah and Hamas do just as much as it's unfair to blame U.S. Jews for what Israel does.

:this:

But I must admit to being deeply pessimistic overall. It seems to me that both sides are so polarised, so deeply entrenched in their positions that any sort of rational compromise is impossible. Hamas, Hezhbolla, and muslim states arouind the world will never accept Israel's right to exist. Israel will not stop the slow march to ethnic cleansing of "Greater Israel", and a determination to ruthlessly crush any possibility of Palestinian state other than a powerless, divided beggar state.

It's all lose/lose...

Western official: Israel is behind recent Iran explosion
Israel stands behind the recent explosion at an Iran missile base, a Western intelligence source told Time Magazine on Sunday.

"Don't believe the Iranians that it was an accident," the Western official told Time, insisting that widespread assumptions that Israel's Mossad was responsible for Saturday's blast, which killed 17 and wounded 15, were correct.

The official also said that more plans to sabotage Iran's nuclear program exist, telling Time, "There are more bullets in the magazine."

The massive explosion at the military arms depot near Tehran killed a Revolutionary Guard commander who was a key figure in Iran's missile program.

Gen. Hasan Moghaddam was killed together with 16 other Guard members Saturday at a military site outside Bidganeh village, 40 kilometers southwest of Tehran. The Guard said the accidental explosion occurred while military personnel were transporting munitions.

No, it's not. You're confounding me saying how it is with me advocating it. Quite a few here have made that same mistake.

OK, w
here's the article in Time Magazine?
Since when do Western intelligence officials qualify as inherently more credible sources than Iranian media for these kinds of things?
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

If it truly was an Israeli act of sabotage, and the Iranians knew that, it is possible that they wouldn't admit it for fear of losing face...

There you go spreading that Jewish propaganda again to foster demonization of Arabs\Muslims. For a long time, the Arab League has offered Israel official recognition in exchange for 1967 borders and the right of return for the Palestinians. It is only Israel that refuses and is the problem. Just look at Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan. They are all predominantly Muslim and (use to) have decent relations with Israel.

Frankly, I oppose the Arab League on this.

Ayaan and I have an invite to a bunker if the troubles start in earnest. They have plenty of dog food stored there. (Turns out it's the cheapest form of canned meat available on the market today.)

Soup is best - combines liquid with nutrition. I've been accumulating tins of 3bean soup in tomato. That's just as good as meat for protein...and the liquid isn't gonna contain bugs. :smoke:

Agreed.
Barring that, there is no justification for preventing Iran from making them.
I disagree. If you have two problems, fixing one of them, while not as good as fixing both of them, is usually better than fixing neither of them.
So if your neighbour has sworn to kill you, and you see him buying a gun, and the police won't take it off him, you would still think it's better if you don't get one?
Israel should never have been allowed to get nukes, and should be forced to give them up.
Barring that, Iran has every right to develop nukes. It may be better for YOU and ME if they don't get them. That's not the point. You have no right to prevent it.
This is where the US pays the price for their stupidity in supplying nukes to Israel.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
