Yes, but that sort of my point.

If the GM could alter the "Timeline" and add a player to the game (Gib), we'd then be playing the original design plus one extra player, right?

Then, say one player needed to drop out.

The obvious fix would be to subtract one player (Athene) and then just call Gib a sub.

But that didn't happen.

Why? Because Gib had already been told his alignment (which really could not have been Scum) and Athene didn't match that alignment.

Of course, I'm looking at this all from the standpoint of a GM, which is why I'm asking Gib (who can't be Scum) to look at this situation carefully and give me some advice.

Just wanted some reaction to a vote on DP. There was something not right about the way that lynch panned out.

As for white knighting shizzle, it's my read on a player I usually have no read on. I wanted to see the reaction to that, especially from athene, because she casually talked about lynching him as being dead weight.

@charlou: I didn't put a vote down on andrew, because he's the new guy and I'm not convinced he's being scummy, just different. He suggested we pick someone at random and get them to out, so I was throwing him the 'why not you' question. His analysis post was pretty good IMO.
