Israeli killed, three wounded in accidental IDF West Bank shooting
Israeli Defense Forces accidentally shot and killed an Israeli early Friday in the southern Hebron region of the West Bank.

Initial reports suggest that the incident, which took place just after 5 am, occurred after IDF soldiers erected a makeshift checkpoint between Yatta and Hebron, after receiving reports of a suspicious truck leaving one of the settlements in the area.

An Israeli vehicle which was traveling on the road did not notice the checkpoint and drove through without stopping. IDF forces attempted to flag down and stop the vehicle. When the vehicle showed no signs of slowing down, IDF forces opened fire, killing a 60-year-old man, and wounding two other passengers.

Moments later, a Palestinian truck struck one of the IDF soldiers who was standing by the side of the road near the scene of the shooting.

And this is why atheists don't believe in gods.

This is called "confirmation bias."

Compare the number of Israelis killed with the number of Palestinians killed. If there were gods the ratio would be reversed. Duh.

This is just the predictable consequence of their stupid security policy, not to mention a demonstration of why right wing hardline security policies are a dumbass idea. I won't even mention settlements, which are basically standing in the middle of the street bent over with your cheeks spread.

Precisely why is that good? I find nothing good in the fact that an innocent person died. I oppose the Israeli state because it is overtly sectarian and it pretends to be democratic and open, when it rides roughshod over democratic principles and routinely lies

But never would I gloat about the killing of an innocent person. It is disgusting that you adopt that gloating tone over a tragedy like this.

I know what you are missing. Just replace "Israeli" with "terrorist". It will look more familiar to you from your side of the pond. And none of these Israelis are "innocent".

I don't think it's funny.

I got ethics.

Changing the subject.

I never discussed whether it's righteous or not, and if I did I didn't disagree. You're making up a reason to fight, like you always do.

Like I said, I got ethics. Hilarious is out of the question where innocents are involved. If one of the officers giving the orders, or a right wingnut politician, got blown away, I might go as far as to call it "evolution in action." But it's death. It's not for laughing at.

I make an exception for the Darwin Awards. But that's not usually by intent.

Like I said, it's karma and non of the Israelis are innocent. The Israelis that got shot were terrorists/colonialists. And Israeli "soldiers" are vile and must be rounded up and imprisoned.

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Hmmmm, what is the word for an accurate stereotype? Is it simply "fact" ?
