I have not even been trying to argue, merely asking you to refrain from emotional based language and attacks, and you're being super confrontational and aggressive. You're clearly easy to anger about this stuff, and I encourage you to remember that whether you "beat me" will have no effect on national politics. I will engage you on this at a later date (since you seem ready for a fight over politics) but I am a little tipsy right now. Besides, when that happens I'd prefer to keep the conversation based on a specific topic, rather than a general discussion of people's impressions of political parties.

See, there's the whole point.

Please point to the "emotional based language and attacks."

You're attacking me for telling the truth.

If you want me to run through your naked assertions and ask for citations, or break down the logical fallacies in your statements here at some point, then I will... when I'm sober. You're just gonna have to wait till tomorrow though :P

More than happy. I come to the conclusions I do based on evidence.
andrewclunn wrote:or break down the logical fallacies in your statements here at some point,
Your assertion assumes facts that are not evident. I have two different sites that list the logical fallacies; one is an anti-Holocaust-denier site, and the Holocaust deniers have used every dirty debating trick in the book. I assure you that I am careful to keep track of what I say and not make stupid mistakes, but you'll probably have to beat your head against the wall a while before you believe it.

Go for it.

:) You make me smile. I only hope that we are both of enough integrity that when one of us is proven wrong on something, that they admit it. If however this is just a display of ego, then I shall be very disappointed.

What's sad is that I'm preparing to abstain from voting next May, because all the candidates suck here too.

You showed some integrity here, more than once. I like to give as good as I get, and that includes positive things. My experience is that you're going to be presented with some stuff you're not going to want to believe. I suspect you can handle it.

Do not expect that you're going to show me anything new. I looked pretty thoroughly. You may learn some new things about Libertarianism, and I mean theory not bad things (though they may turn out to be in the end).

I've never voted in my life. Politics is rubbish.

If I was to vote it'd be for the Green Party. :P

The US is pulling all US and contract forces out of Iraq? What are they doing with the military bases? Dismantling? Handing over to Iraqi's? Does this mean zero US and affiliated personal in Iraq soon? I'll believe that when I see it, hope it's true though.

Not sad, possibly the best thing you can do in an "election" is abstain.

I never advocate abstaining. When in doubt vote against.

Well, vote against what? I know who'll be there on round 2, boith are perfectly distasteful, and the SoB who'll be facing Sarkoszyt has no legitimity and is essentially responsible for him having been elected in the fist place.

I did not champion the effectiveness of anything at all. You never even bothered to read what I said, other than to find something to lie about.

When you can read what I say and are actually replying to it you will be worth talking to.

Just a suggestion. Sometimes it helps.

I know who Sarkozy is, but have no idea who the opposition is. I blush to say I haven't kept track.

Surely they propose different policies? Surely, no matter how corrupt, they'll do something they say they're going to and you'll either like it or hate it enough to make a choice. Be honest: can you find nothing between them?

Meanwhile, it sounds like you have an opportunity to express your distaste in round 1 by voting for someone else. I'd use that, too. Have you considered writing to them? Or LTTEing?
