Oddly enough i get a better deal from one of the big four australian banks than the local credit union its fees are horrendous and the internet banking is shit. I get a fee free account except if you use a non-ANZ atm and yeah it does its job.

Still banks are bastards and if i had a better option i would go with them but atm i don't.

I put 10K in the NFCU while I was in San Diego, savings only. Then I got transferred to Japan. When I went to withdraw some fun money they couldn't do it. They could see the money was in there, but they couldn't access it for withdrawal. I finally had to open a checking account and write checks to myself to get at my money.

One of the things to understand about US politics is that one or both parties are always trying to work the system any way they can to get power.

This is because of two facts:
1. The average IQ is 100.
2. Somewhere between one in seven and one in twenty persons in the general population is a sociopath.

Sociopaths gravitate to power and money. Politics is power. Money is power. It is unsurprising that half of all billionaires are sociopaths; a like or even higher proportion of politicians must be. However, remember also that this implies that there are both billionaires and politicians who are not.

Sociopaths make up a good line of horseshit to get the below-normal half to vote for them. In this time, in the US, the party that does that is the Republican Teagagger Party. Not that there are not sociopaths in the Democratic party; but they aren't the majority. You can tell because every time we elect a Republican they deregulate, let the rich steal everything in sight, and leave everything fucked up.

Insisting on teaching religious nutjob anti-science in schools as a political position is something only a sociopathic politician would dream up, after all.
