Uselesstwit wrote:i can agree with that. i'm not fond of out of game info being used. I got myself lynched my first game at tr because a teammate got a scum lynched by profile watching and catching them sending a kill order to the gm. It's why i felt forced to tell aza about the pm sent to me by mistake. I like winning, but not by unfair methods.
i don't qute follow what you're saying about yr 1st tr game - what happened? (i agree with your overall point btw)

That's an interesting idea, much better than ones I was thinking about.
agreed

someone was watching another players profile, and noticed them sending a message to the gm during nightfall. i don't quite know how it was done, but he was able to post a link in thread showing the contact. so the scum player was intsa final lynched the next day. i thought that was hugely unfair so got myself lynched the next day to balance things a bit. didn't make a lot of friends with my fellow townies at the time. Like i said then, i sign up to play mafia, not profile watch.

tenuous once ran a game where people had points they could use to either "buy" themselves a role or spend the points to get someone else a particular role. Whoever had the most points for a particular role got it. That might be an interesting mechanic to build into the game. people knew how they had spent their points, and we did a lot of guesswork trying to figure out who would have gotten various roles if people were using their points to build the perfect town/scum teams.

ta
when i'm scum i prefer it when the gm is prepared to accept the night action on the scum board. I never really understood why some GMs insist on an actual PM - they're on the scum board anyway to tell you they insist on a PM
kinda annoys me that one

I enjoyed playing with MZ. I prefer not knowing his alignment, but watching his game this time knowing his alignment will probably give me some insights in future games. though I may have forgotten what I learned by the time I play again.

Irre as scum.............wow that's a shocker.
what?
that's for irre when she get's in here. we have a running joke about her natural innate evil. I, on the other hand, am completely angelic as proven by my constant town roles.
Oh please... if anything, you are anti-type cast.
It was a lot of fun being scum with ob and b.tern, we enjoyed it

even if evil doesn't come naturally to us

He has a new sprog. He pops in at TR once in a while but doesn't have the time for mafia right now.

Yeah ani got lucky. He had no clue I was scum, but I was the one being obvious.
I now have a few things to look for in a scum ob game, now. And no, I'm not sharing.
.... I can't believe ob was pulled into this game, then dragged me into it, only for us both to be scum

I think the thing that surprised me most in this game was that Feck was first town-blocked and then vig-killed. I had him down as a bomb or something. town rushes in where scum fear to tread.
