Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic: Day 4

Stuff about MZ's play today that bugs me

- assumption the scum team has 2 specials
- buying Mono's late night confession of townishness. putting aside that mono was town after all, it still looks like it didn't really matter to MZ who was lynched today. mono or me either one would do.
- intent to final vote. this one is huge. if he final votes a town player then we lose today, end of story. this happened recently at TR: http://talkrational.org/showthread.php? ... ost1559955 ksen will remember if he shows up for day 5 here.
- his claiming that I was viewing this forum while I was asleep. I don't see how that could happen. My lap top had hibernated hours earlier. if it were an auto refresh on tapatalk, I still wouldn't have shown up as viewing the forum.
- his initial bizarro case against UT and his continual testing the waters to see if I'd consider voting UT today.
- His "if I am still around" talk. He will almost certainly still be around tomorrow. So will I.
- His ignoring the significance of 3-1 vs 2-1 at endgame and claiming it's scummy of me to expect scum to go for the better odds. I know he knows this shit. In the second game he and I played together here at ratz, I argued over and over again that town should vote nolynch when we got to 3-1. I was killed that night, and town went on to lynch-vote town the next day. MZ was scum. That was the boy bands game.

If we don't have something definitive tomorrow and we're at 3-1, we should probably consider a nolynch, but I doubt we will. Even knowing it's better odds, I almost always lynch vote in that situation because I get overconfident in my ability to spot the last scum. And I think I have spotted the last scum.

I should probably point out that MZ was scum in the boy bands game, and that they started the game with a strategy of bussing one of the scum team.

okay, i really need to here from ksen now. mz did buy mono really easily, but ob doesn't seem to be considering all the options either.

oh and mono, why couldn't you at least tell us which kills were yours? I mean that would have been rather useful.

agree that he's not the slicey-dicey killer.

UT, what am I failing to consider? I probably am missing something. I feel so dumb for not being more suspicious of MZ yesterday, but I was out of sorts IRL, and it's not going to get better this morning. I have a dr appt in a couple hours. not sure how much I'll be posting after that.

I would throw a scum special under the bus in a heartbeat.

it's just that with town having a vig, i'd expect you to reevaluate the chances of town having a roleblocker or not. You might not have done it because you're convinced of mz being the final scum, but I expected at least a convo about it to happen after mono's cardflip.

Sinc you posted your thoughts on mz i'll post mine about both of you and you two can feel free to tell me where i'm wrong.

The irre vote: goes to mz as town, he didn't have to put that hammer vote down on irre and there was no reason to save ksen since they obviously can't both be on the scum team at this point. Ob lead the vote on irre and also tried to get her lynched day one, but that vote was early in the day and she might not have expected it to gather momentum.

The b.tern vote, mz felt like he wnted to put his vote anywhere but there, so leaning scummish on that. I can't say that it didn't feel like i was lifting some dead weight getting Ob onto that bw though. I give slightly more credit to Ob for that vote, but not huge amounts.

the night 3 kills: this is where I really start doing flipflops about who to block tonight. Lleaving me alive was custom made to give MZ an excuse to go after me yesterday. I just can't decide if that's because mz thought it up, or because Ob knows how mz likes to trolley track on me and targeted that kill specifically to trigger that.

So, i'm really undecided, and ksen you're here now, I hope you can get a read on one of these two.

would you do it while outing as a suspected scum roleblocker to save the town vig? because evidently I did.

Uselesstwit wrote:actually ob, i just thought of something that might explain things. If we misread the kills, mz could be the sk. it would explain his votes, and his behavior the last couple of days. And still explain the one kill night 2, scum did use mono to do the hit. it still has problems since it would mean irre killed char, but it's worth examining.
whoa. maybe so. It would explain why Irre was willing to white knight him so much on day 1. That's the thing. I can't quite believe he's on her team. Her white-knighting. His hammer vote.

Do you think I'm overstating his posting behavior re b.tern yesterday?
okay, this "whoa" pinged a bit. where's ksen, i need a set of TR eyes on your posts. It's not that i don't agree with you, it's just the surprise you're trying to convey seemed a bit forced.
Yesterday and today so far remind me of scum raven from the Eve game I ran over at TR.

MZ if it's UT and OB as the remaining scum they have the votes to run the lynch today if mono doesn't come in and vote with us. If mono is sk and just has a "survive to end of game" win condition I'm asking him now to side with town and I'm willing to take him with us to the end.

If there is only one scum left I'm betting it's UT based on the flavor of the block that Feck gave out.

I gave some thought to the possibility you are a scumblocker after nightfall, UT. The only thing that you've done with that role that I thought was questionable was announcing who you would block on night 3. The mono block made huge sense. It was really the only way for town to get any idea with him. I don't think I would have picked Feck to block on night 1, but I'm not really sure who I would have picked instead. Maybe mono. Maybe MZ, though that is hindsight.

When I compare that to MZ's play, if you're scum you deserve the win.
