My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic: Day 2
I was not lynched because DP switched votes and then athene voted gonzo. To me this implicates DP. He took the opportunity to get another town lynched knowing I was vanilla and hoping to out a special. How does that sound?

It sounds like you were DP'ed.

That's not what pinged in that post.Magicziggy wrote:I will attempt to explain this once again.ksen wrote:Ping.Magicziggy wrote:If I wanted to save myself I would not have outed as vanilla
##vote MZ##
Firstly I felt I would be lynched. I know there was a lot of time left but it looked inevitable.
Secondly, I decided on the best thing for town was to know in advance who they were lynching so when my card flipped they could assess reaction. The stuff about the name seemed important at the time. I thought it was useful for town to know that names were irrelevant and to ignore calls for outing them.
I really had no sure fire other candidate so changing my vote was not an option.
Back to square one but with oblivion now looking more townish and Ani looking a little like he did last game.

this pinged at the time. I was already primed to see you as scum. If I were scum I'd have taken out charlou. She was as good as cleared. I was surprised you didn't see it this way.oblivion wrote:what kind of scum team would take out the miller?

This post has been bugging me. I finally figured out why.Magicziggy wrote:I've never special hunted in my life. Wouldn't know how. Wouldn't dare try. So question. What made you think I was special hunting?oblivion wrote:ksen, my town vibe re MZ was in part due to his reaction to his bandwagon. that carried him over the vanilla out. I'm seriously rethinking him at the moment. I thought he might possibly be the doc at the point where I backed off yesterday. that was mostly because he looked like he was special hunting.
MZ, you remember the Monopoly mafia game?

You had a good enough idea what special hunting was to accuse me of doing it.

Really mz? I would have left her in, no one would lynch her now, but if the game kept going she would have been great wifom at the end. I know from my view sooner or later i'd start wondering about the cleared person who hadn't been taken out. It's like a reverse don, if the game goes long enough, even seer viewed players come under suspicion again. add that to the post restriction and I really don't see her as a target. That said there has to be a reason behind it, who's especially prone to being read by char?
The athene kill is also a bit weird, and I really wish we knew which one was the scum team. She did post less than normal, but when she did it seemed like normal athene. It feels more like a protective kill of a worrisome player than a targeted special hit. So we have two really good players taken out, I wonder if that's all it was, take out the good players and leave the ones in the scrap alive for wifom today.

Conventional wisdom is that no matter how townish a miller looks, they get more lynchable as the game progresses. It comes down to removing uncertainties, not that town usually has the luxury of removing all uncertainties. It's why I was looking for posts with "for now" type language. IME scum sometimes want to leave that mislynch opportunity in the game for later.Magicziggy wrote:this pinged at the time. I was already primed to see you as scum. Given Charlou's posting restriction and her overall day 1 contribution, her lynch was unlikely. But, she wasn't likely to be a power special and a miller both. Kill the miller on Night 1?
We should probably think more about who would want Charlou out of the game asap, rather than who was worried she was virtually cleared.

Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic: Day 2
as for today, I liked ksen's summation, but not really sure if that clears him or not. I've seen to many people do things like that to look townie while they're scum, but i'm leaning townish.
Mz, is spinning like a fos spitting top today. It's a complete change from how he played last game, and i'm still leaning scum on him. anyone have an idea about mz picking fights when he's scum? Last game there was a smooth control to his game that's really lacking this one. I'm wondering if he has a case of the shizz, where he's best when he knows he's unlynchable.

There have been a couple games when he was scum that he picked fights with me. Irre's game that she GMed here a while back. I don't remember the name. You played that game, UT. You learned how many scum were on the lynch bandwagons in that game.
And the Discworld game, he picked a bizarre fight with me over my long-term tendency to not put early mayor votes down (and often not to vote mayor at all) on day 1. He was the traitor in that game.
Counter example - the Hitman game. He was the scum don. He kept up a daily trickle of soft FoSes in my direction during that game but never followed up on them.
On the other hand, there are absolute piles of games where he and I have gone at each other hammer and tongs and were both town.

I know ob, and he and i often get into those same kind of fights, but he's passed over a couple of opportunities this game and that also worries me. Last game we went at it for pages but in the end i was left with a town feel for him, this game, I'm not getting that feeling. It's like he's picking his fights for effect rather than from truly searching.

The way he and irre seem to have rapidly mostly cleared each other also has me scratching my head a bit.
