Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic: Day 1
I was happy with my vote on DP. I was also concerned about feck's not being at DP (UT's post might have been tongue-in-cheek, but if it wasn't it was inaccurate because feck was NOT at DP at that point). There is no inconsistency there.oblivion wrote:I didn't call you out because of TR meta. I just thought it was weird that you put a mayor vote on her when you did. This is the string of posts that led me to put my vote on her. Right after that, you mayor voted her.
Irre voted DP.
Shortly after, UT posted this:
Irre replied:Uselesstwit wrote:@@vote oblivion @@vote [m/]@@
So dp and feck are at each other already, yep this is going to be a long game.@@
She had her vote on DP, and yet FECK was the worry. UT's post was about both of them. Irre flagged FECK as the more problematic, while her vote was on DP.irretating wrote:No, feck isn't at DP yet, that is the worry.Uselesstwit wrote:@@vote oblivion @@vote [m/]@@

That's when I put my vote on her.
Then a few minutes later you mayor voted her.
It was just really weird to me that right after a string of posts that drew my lynch vote, you mayor voted her. It looked like you were comfortable with those posts.

My entire reading of the thread had ob and irre looking town. UT still leaning scum, but he always does for me. The rest are all blurred. DP looks a bit sus for his vote on gonzo. Feck appears more townish as does Ani.

On the re read I agree that it looked a bit weird. However her vote rationale on DP was sound. Her worry about Feck seemed genuine.
Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic: Day 1
I think your assessment is fairirretating wrote:MZ it seems that ob is not going to elaborate on the cross-forum stuff about me that she's referring to. So, allow me. I took a mafia break, as you know. I was asked to sub in to a TR game after the first day (charlou played that game, ob did not) and I reluctantly accepted as a favour to the GM.
From my POV it was a really weird game, not least of which was that redial was playing and she did her madcap antics (as vanilla town she claimed to be "night cop" just to get someone she didn't like lynched) which I could see through, knowing her as well as I do. It was the start of me being completely offside from town, which lasted all game. There was a town cabal (for want of a better word), triangulation of effort occurring, which I didn't trust involved all townies. In the end, I was right about that; ksen was scum and had been part of the "town cabal" all game. I didn't get along with the townies (I was vanilla town), not surprisingly, so genuine townies thought I was being weird and I didn't agree with most everyone.
I think it's a fair assessment, though ob and charlou can put in their opinion.
Nothing to disagree with, there.
That is for you to judge bestIt's all blah blah blah except I did make a joke about striangulating ksen if he tried any triangulation, and I did make a comment about town cabals when the BW steam started to gather on MZ.
I probably should still be on a longer mafia break TBH, because I wish to become a completely zen player. Not sure how it's working thus far.
In the meanwhile, you're just as subject
to be put to the test
While we try to work out who to eject.
Anyone have any thoughts on Az's nightfall post
The mention of ponies changing stood out the most ...

Irre is not someone who's town game I read that well. I would likely place mayor there without much thought. I also changed to charlou when I saw the sense in that.

What do you think?

Unless town specials take on a different role during the night.
Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic: Day 1
back.
re the recent TR game, I think irre described her game accurately. The thing that got my attention in this game was what I thought was an inaccurate parallel - that a town cabal had formed and decided MZ was scum, that the cabal was clearly wrong, and she was clearly not going along with it.
This was at the time she changed her vote from DP to UT. UT was not voting for MZ. The only vote on MZ at that point was Ani.
It wasn't a good parallel, so it looked like an attempt to don the lonely (and right) rebel townie mantle when it hadn't been earned in this game.

Ob, you said you were not really ready for this game and did it as a favour for the gm. Do you think irre might be in the same boat? Do you see the transition of her game to the zen state she yearns. I've been there. I get that. Not that I've achieved it.
Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic: Day 1
Yes, I saw your point about that at the timeoblivion wrote:back.

And thanks for explaining the TR side of things. It helps on understanding your thinking.
Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic: Day 1
townish: Charlou
kinda townish: MZ, UT, Athene
unsure: ksen, DP, feck, Ani
leaning scum: Irre
Need more posts: Mono, b.tern
The three I have as kinda townish all put their opinions on the line in a way that could/would have harmed them if they were scum, IMO. UT to a lesser extent, but I still got the sense of a town player doggedly slogging against the tide throughout much of the game day. There were several points in the thread where he posted what I was thinking as I read along. This was true of Athene, too. MZ, I am definitely not on the same wavelenght with, but especially as his bandwagon formed I thought his reactions were townish.
I'm leaving Irre in my scumpile. but, I'm taking on board the info that she doesn't look as scummy to at least some of the players I think are town at this point.
