The usual Republican Teagagger Party Kochsuchers have started astroturf claiming OWS is anti-semitic. They have of course self-Godwinized instantaneously. Perhaps they'll burn a hole in reality and vanish in a puff of evil-smelling smoke, leaving a sticky black stain.

The right are looking for a popular narrative, and hoping the economy going badly sour in the run up to the election will do the heavy lifting, rather than the narrative making any kind of strict sense. Given the average IQ and educational standard in the US they can afford to ignore facts altogether and focus on emotional reactions to trigger words/phrases.

Also the Nazis were not strictly anti-intellectualism. There were great scientific strides made by the nazis and the IQ of the elite was very high, what you'd expect from a standard technological society. There was the dumber side but it wasn't the dumber side who built The Bismark or came within a whisker of nuking New York. And so don't under-estimate The Tea Party movement, that is the danger and if they get in have an escape plan because America will no longer be a safe nation for the free....even if the rhetoric is still there. If more had read the signs in the early thirties instead of being good citizens....there'd have been less smoking later?
