I tend to be unimpressed by news programs that think they need mood music. They strike me as propaganda. It is, however, a dauntingly long list.

Although I think there has been enough evidence over the years that Gaddafi has committed crimes against his own people, I think there is some truth in what you say about the media circus. They, and too many people in the western world want to see complex events as "black hat, white hat" cowboy shoot-em-ups, with the good sheriff winning in the end...

And as a side issue, many here (of various political persuasions) have been very critical of western involvement (eg. CES).
