Regarding your laying into Pappa almost as soon as you came back:

Thanks for making up a pretty demeaning lie about me. I hope you weren't counting on getting any of my money anytime soon.

Meanwhile, gee, you know, I don't suppose my reaction had anything to do with the response I'd gotten before we even started in on the gang rape scene.

Nawww.

Then you'd look bad for not doing anything about it, right? And Gawd forbid you actually have to do anything.
Inspired me to post this: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 8#p1012948

which refers to this: http://www.rationalia.com/forum/viewtop ... 930#p26929

and it was not directed at you, although I can see why someone who posts as you do might have a temperament that might think they were being targeted. I apologise for any misunderstanding, and I encourage you to partake of the community and get to know us better without perhaps getting all bent out of shape over things. We're really okay here, you know.

What Tig says. Schneib, really, everyone here (except Seth, of course) is fairly nice I hope you stick around and give us (except Seth, but this goes without saying) a chance :dunno:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Schneibster, I like you and when you first showed up I was pretty happy that you did. You have demonstrated that you can make interesting contributions, you also present my political position much better than I do. But your tone comes off really abrasive sometimes and it is hard to deal with. I'm willing to work with it and be patient and not get woo worked up about with that aspect of your posting, but you really should consider cutting other people some slack in return.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Look, this is simple: I'm not interested in "feedback" from twelve-year-olds, OK? Be adult and be transparent, or else leave me the fuck alone. Simple as that. I'm not taking instructions from people who are still going to school, unless they're specializing in computer science I haven't seen yet, and not for long even then. I'm old, I'm smart, I hate chickenshit, and I don't fit in. Get over it.

Seth is nice too sometimes actually. There's more to him than his politics.

It was just a stupid joke about Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" since you keep on saying how you bring up the "inconvenient truth" etc. etc.

Dude, lighten up a bit, I was merely joshin'!
