I listen to Toccate & Fuga pretty much every week at least once, it is by far my favorite classical piece, specially on church organ.Mr P wrote:No really... I'm listening to this right now!!!![]()

Re: Listening - The Forth Album.
Black Swan van Bert Jansch
Traveling on space highway,
Three long years to this day.
A billion million trillion miles.
Home is a long, long way away.
From bow to stern she's 20 miles long,
Ten miles high and wide.
A beautiful swan in a silent sea,
No water to slow her down.
Sometimes it seems we're motionless,
Caught between time and space.
Other tiny star systems rush headlong by.
(?) Signs are bursting in the rain (?)
No earthly sound can penetrate,
This black and endless void.
Only thoughts and dreams,
Of the unborn babes,
Where your body and fill your mind.
Every day down those quiet canyons,
Like a love that's for the stars.
And people that shop at the market place,
And the ship loads ever, ever on.
If ever we come to our promised land,
Gotta take the shuttle (?)
For the black swan never ever wants to rest
Never stops to say goodbye.

It's one of my favourites too. You can't really go wrong with J.S. Bach.. dunno what went wrong with the rest of the Bachs though.

Re: Listening - The Forth Album.
Karl Richter was probably one of the best ones to play Bach on an organ like this. Ton Koopman is very good too. Karl Richter also did Passacaglia in c-moll on the same organ in Ottobeuren, not as powerful as T&F but amazingly beautiful.PordFrefect wrote:Like this?leo-rcc wrote: I listen to Toccate & Fuga pretty much every week at least once, it is by far my favorite classical piece, specially on church organ.

Yeah, he was pretty amazing. He died pretty young.leo-rcc wrote: Karl Richter was probably one of the best ones to play Bach on an organ like this.
In another key, I used to go to sleep to this song:
I like a lot of diverse genres.

Also, this is so awesome that Hollywood is retarded for not making it a movie.
