They probably can't arm in that distance.
The kinetic effects would still be interesting though.

There's no way those missiles would hit that hotel unless they had a VERY premature motor cut-off. I've been on two missile boats and was the ships photog for the last one (due to having a medium format camera with 1/1000th shutter speed) and I've seen Standard missiles launched several times. They're pretty much straight line off the rails for the first 1/2 mile or so.

Our dummies used to be blue. We called them "Full Dress Missiles" because they were on the rails for entering port or for special occasions.
