'Read the thread'? I'm not going to repeat what I have said several times - and my guess as to what he may well have done. Firstly he is right wing and in his university days was pretty anti-gay. It looks likely to me he is gay, but he is also a political high flier. Gays get by in politics these days but they still don't get to the very top, where he had set his sights. So he gets married to take on all the 'respectable' trappings. He then lives a double life spending a good part of his time with boyfriend flying all over the world.

The accusation is hypocrisy and dishonesty, not homosexuality, about which I could not give a toss one way or another ..erm..

How you got that from my posts I do not know. Gay people can do what they like and I am as liberal as it is possible to be on the matter. I was referring to the reality of the fact that neither the Conservative party, nor probably the British public would accept a gay Prime minister at this point in time. And that was where his ambitions lay...and may still do so.
