I have, say, a hundred folders on my desktop computer I may or may not access on a daily basis. Inside those folders are subfolders, and documents (word, .pdf, etc.).
I need to keep all those documents organized as they are, by folder. But, I would like to be able to access them using any computer, anywhere. I.e. if I'm traveling, I want to be able to access my files, edit, and do whatever, and then when I get back to the office, have the files automatically sync so I don't wind up with different versions on my laptop and different versions on my desktop, etc.
It seems that what you're looking for is an on-line storage and/or backup facility that you can also use as a network drive. You don't want to run applications remotely.Coito ergo sum wrote:My situation is this:PordFrefect wrote:Google documents doesn't work for you?

Just Google "on-line file storage network drive" and check the various services on offer. I don't use 'em myself, so I am no authority on how good they are.
