Why Kubrick, you old dog.
It made my day to be honest. I've been ranting about this movie for years.

I love the Man Who Would Be King

And, I can always watch the Shawshank Redemption. Excellent.

I like to like 2001 A Space Odyssey, but I really don't like to watch it....

A rarity: A "modern" movie that is many ways also like a movie from (say) the 1950's. Don't know if I can articulate it any better than that.

1. I'm going with LOTR, too - if we can count it as one film...?

2. Can't decide between "Life of Brian" and "Holy grail", so they count as one film, too!

3. One flew over the cuckoo's nest.

Very interesting. I wonder how effective this technique really is/was? I never got the feeling the narrator suggests it is supposed to create when watching the movie. :dunno:

So where's that rant-all-you-like thread? :toetap:

sorry for the impatience - would just love to see it before I fall asleep, so we're talking of mere minutes here...
"The internet is made of people. People matter. This includes you. Stop trying to sell everything about yourself to everyone. Don’t just hammer away and repeat and talk at people—talk TO people. It’s organic. Make stuff for the internet that matters to you, even if it seems stupid. Do it because it’s good and feels important. Put up more cat pictures. Make more songs. Show your doodles. Give things away and take things that are free." - Maureen J

It was cliché ridden. It should've been terrible. Just goes to show it's not necessarily the story it's the way it's told the maketh the film.

Yes, but it was good cliché ridden ... like some other movies mentioned here.

Either in the wrong thread or wanking to na'vi porn.
Admit it, you spent the entire movie trying to get a look at her nipples.

This was one of the bad cliché ridden films.
