Yay. Someone else has seen it. I've been trying to get people to see this since last summer. I was all alone for a while.
It was amazing. The only other film by him I have seen Dancer in the Dark (and, to be honest, I didn't realise it was by him until yesterday - I saw it quite a while ago.) I am after Dogville next.
Dogville is one of those films I couldn't tell you if I liked or not. I felt strange after watching it. Strange and bewildered.

I heard from a fairly reliable source that there is a torrent of it.

So one believes. I will pay full-price for a copy though, obviously. :tea:

Rum wrote:Saw The Reader on TV last night. A superb movie about a love affair between a boy of 16 and an ex concentration camp guard in her late 30s and what happens over time to them both. Highly recommended.

I saw that movie just recently as well. It is a very good movie with a great storyline.

I enjoyed The Reader too.. (and no not because it seems to parallel my love life :P). And of course for the boys you get about 45 mins of Kate Winslet in the buff ;)

I saw District 9 on Saturday which I really enjoyed and yesterday I saw Orphan which was pretty good.

Over the Christmas period I saw lots of films: Julie & Julia, Oldboy, In the Valley of Elah & The Hurt Locker amongst others.

I enjoyed them all I particularly enjoyed Julie & Julia though.. I thought Meryl Streep was fantastic

District 9
Nine
9

I foresee some confusion if these three movies are mentioned in one thread.

Check out his other film Dancer in the Dark. It'll fix you right up.
